We deliver across Ontario four days a week in thermally regulated, recyclable packaging with both ice packs and dry ice, so everything arrives cold, solid, and freezer-ready, and stays that way for hours at your door. The difference is real

Most meat raises questions. Ours raises standards.

Grocery stores, big-box retailers, and most delivery services can't tell you how your meat was raised, what went into it, or who checked. We can, and we publish the standard.

From one family farm to your kitchen.

No distributors. No mystery aggregators. Every order follows one line from one of our partner farms to you, and we can tell you which farm any pack came from.

01 · One partner farm

Raised on open pasture, from birth

Animals here are raised the slow way: outdoors, on pasture, cared for from birth by one family farm we audit ourselves. No feedlots, no shortcuts, at any point.

Pasture-raised, Ontario farms · No antibiotics, ever
02 · Small-batch processing

Small batches, nothing added

Processed in small batches at a provincially inspected facility and air-chilled with nothing added, so you're never paying for water weight or filler.

Provincially inspected, every batch
03 · Cut fresh to order

Cut fresh to order by the butcher

Your order isn't pulled from months-old warehouse stock. It's cut fresh to order, portioned, and vacuum-sealed at its peak, then packed straight into your box. Grocery beef spends weeks in distribution before it ever reaches the shelf.

Sealed within hours of cutting, every box inspected
04 · Your door

Cold-chain delivered to your door, guaranteed

Thermally regulated packaging with ice packs and dry ice keeps everything cold in transit and for hours at your front door, so no one needs to be home to receive it. If anything's off, tell us within 24 hours and a real person will sort it out with you.

No signature needed. Stays cold for hours at your door.
Don't take our word for it

Every claim on this page has a receipt.

Here's what stands behind this product, and who checks it.

  • No added hormones. No antibiotics, ever.

Certified Raised Without Antibiotics (RWA). Never administered, not just withdrawn before processing. A sick animal is cared for separately and never shipped as ours.

  • Humanely raised

Outdoors, on pasture, with room to move, by one family farm per product. No feedlots, no confinement, at any point.

  • Non-GMO

Non-GMO, species-appropriate feed, no exceptions. Grass-fed beef eats forage only, in every season.

  • No fillers. No plumping. No preservatives.

Nothing injected, nothing added: no saline, no water, no binders, no preservatives. Every gram you pay for is meat.

  • Inspected, then cut fresh to order

Cut, vacuum-sealed and packed after you order, in a provincially licensed, OMAFRA-inspected facility running a HACCP food safety system with an independent GMP audit every year.

  • One farm per product

No auctions, no blending, no distributors. We buy direct from the farm and audit it ourselves, season after season.

From the founders

Our names are on every box.

We started Northern Raised because we were tired of guessing. Grocery labels told us almost nothing about where meat came from, and "local" usually meant a distribution centre, not a farm.

So we built the supply chain we wanted for our own families: farms we audit ourselves, a published standard, cut fresh to order, and delivered cold to your door. If it isn't good enough for our kitchen tables, it doesn't ship. That's the whole business model.

Common questions

Everything you want to know.

Can't find your answer? Real humans, Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm ET. 1 647 728 7467 or support@northernraised.ca

How fresh is it, really?

Your beef is cut fresh to order by the butcher and vacuum-sealed, then shipped cold straight to you. Compare that to grocery beef, which typically spends weeks moving through processors, distributors, and warehouses before it reaches the shelf. Fresher when it's sealed means better flavour and texture when it hits your pan.

What if I'm not home for delivery?

No problem, and no signature needed. Your box ships in thermally regulated packaging with both ice packs and dry ice, so it stays cold for hours at your door. You'll get tracking with a delivery window so you know exactly when it lands.

Is grass-fed really different from grain-fed?

Yes, measurably. Grass-fed and grass-finished beef is naturally leaner in the wrong places and richer in the right ones: higher in omega-3 fatty acids, CLA, and vitamins A and E. It also has a deeper, cleaner flavour that most customers notice on the first cook. The catch is that true grass-finished beef is rare, which is why we audit the farm ourselves and publish the standard it's raised to.

How does delivery work, and is it free?

We deliver across Ontario four days a week, Tuesday through Friday in most areas. Enter your postal code at checkout to see your delivery days and pick the exact date that works for you. Free delivery is available in certain areas, with thresholds shown at checkout for your address.

What if something isn't right with my order?

Tell us within 24 hours of delivery and a real person will sort it out with you, usually the same day. Depending on what happened that might be a replacement, a credit, or something else that actually fixes it. Our support team is in Ontario, Monday to Friday, and answers to the founders.
